"Hill Country Thistle"

While visiting friends in the hill country of central Texas, I spotted this field of thistle on an early morning walk this past Spring. There is a painting around every corner in that area so I know to always have my camera with me. Painted this on a red ground in hopes of subduing so much green.

    Pure perfection, Ann. I love the greens so I suspect your method worked especially well. 'Course, then green IS my favorite color so I'm always happy with green no matter who and no matter how! Beautiful thistle field!
