"White Rock Meadow"

9 x 12
oil on canvas hardboard
available at Southwest Gallery

This is a heart stopping painting, or should I say nerve wracking better describes it! This past Saturday I participated in my first Quick Draw, which is a timed plein air paint out with lots of other artists. We all met at White Rock Lake and painted in the area for the two hour contest, quickly framed the piece and delivered it to the gallery which hosted the remainder of the Plein Air Southwest Salon juried show. It has been an honor for me to be accepted into this show with such an incredible list of fine artists from around the country. If you are in the area be sure to stop by the gallery to see the juried show as well as the special wall of quick draw paintings.

  4. Despite the nerves attached to this piece, it sure came out beautifully, Ann! I can't believe you painted this and framed it all in a two hour period. How lovely!
