Here's the finished golfer that I posted last week in the beginning stages. The first post showed the block in, and using only a combination of burnt siena/ultramarine blue the value ranges were laid out. I usually paint in the alla prima style but worked on this for several days. What fun to finally add the color!
Amazing Ann!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful painting- love golf and really like the intensity you captured in his face as he reads the putt. Looks a bit like Steve Stricker:) Fun to see your process.
ReplyDeleteUne belle capture que celle de votre personnage, complètement absorbé dans son activité...
ReplyDeleteLes couleurs et la lumière sont superbes.
Gros bisous.
What a handsome man this is!! But with your inimitable style, Ann, this is just such a strong piece with a fabulous composition!
ReplyDeleteann, the close composition is wonderful and
ReplyDeleteby the way, very loose! Ha!
Beautiful color! I love the brushwork, light and color in the hat and clothing. The figure is still but there's so much movement.
ReplyDeleteLove your loose brushstrokes with lost and found edges. Beautiful work, Ann!
ReplyDeleteThe strong underpainting really worked to create a beautiful set up for the color Ann, it's wonderful!
