"Dots and Daisies"

11 x 14
oil on hardboard

Guess I should have titled this 'dots, daisies, limes and peppers"! The gerber daisy arrangement is from a birthday party I had for my husband, and the peppers, well, they were just too delicious looking to resist.

I'm taking a workshop at the end of this month with Qiang Huang and thought I'd better work on a still life for a little practice.

  1. This is a lovely piece Ann! I really like the color palette and the dots. The dots really give a sense of the folds and the lights.
    Qiang Huang...lucky girl!

  5. Ooh, so pretty! Took me a second to find the limes, believe it or not. LOL As beautiful as those flowers are, I think my favorite part is that fun dot fabric backdrop! This just all comes together so beautifully. I love your choice of flowers too; I don't see them too often in flower paintings.
