oil on hardboard
This was painted en plein air on the last day of November near a small lake next to our neighborhood pool. Because of the lack of rain in our area this year, the colors have not been as vivid as in past years but still beautiful with the late afternoon sun on the fall leaves.
This looks very vivid by California standards Ann, it's beautiful Ann!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting, Ann! You've captured all the beauty of autumn, despite the intensity of color that you say is missing this year. I love the golds and golden browns just as much as the reds that often come with the season. This sure is a gorgeous location!
ReplyDeleteUn petit coin absolument charmant... Des couleurs chatoyantes et flamboyantes qui résistent avant l'arriver de Dame Hiver qui préfère tant le "blanc"!...
ReplyDeleteBelle peinture.
Gros bisous
The colors in this piece are beautiful together. Gorgeous painting. I certainly hope next summer is better for you guys.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful atmosphere created here, Ann!
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying this landscape series! This one is particularly lovely with those gorgeous golds against the clear blue sky.
ReplyDeleteThe golds and blues simply dance across the canvas - beautiful!
