"Eulogy Sunset"

9 x 12
oil on hardboard

Eulogy, Texas, doesn't that sound like a town's name out of an old western novel? Well this is my second plein air painting from the OPS paint out in Glen Rose this past weekend. Friday afternoon we all went about 10 miles south of there to a ranch in Eulogy to paint and later have a barbq. There was a "painting waitin' to happen" in every direction you looked in this beautiful part of the hill country.

  2. Magnifique travail... Cet arbre est le témoin majeur de cette belle peinture.
    Vos couleurs sont très apaisantes.

  3. Absolutely beautiful, as always, Ann. Love that almost buttery dried field grass; perfect color.

Have to admit that I was so afraid to hear that someone close to you passed away and that this painting was for them. Glad to know Eulogy is the location. Thank God for that!

  4. Ann, someday I would love to see the hill country in Texas where a painting is "waitin' to happen." You made this scene look so inviting...love your colors and brushwork!
