  1. You've been busy! I really like this still life, especially when enlarged and viewed up close, you have so much detail in your figures with so little brush strokes.

I think I finished my last painting until after Christmas...tomorrow will be a day spent shopping. Ugh, I'd rather clean paintbrushes.

  4. So lovely, Ann. Sometimes it is hard to come up with new and different adjectives! But I love this piece. St. Nicholas too! And the little dear with the wreath around its neck...sigh...I am caught by the juxtaposition of St. Nick with the other little statues (except the deer) and with the teapot. I keep having to go back and look some more!

  9. Hi Ann... Actually, I've been lurking on your blog for awhile now. I was immediately intrigued by your profile as my mother graduated from SMU with an art degree (long before you... in the early 40s) and was an interior designer. I grew up in the Decorative Center, playing under the beautiful furniture and reading in the corners of showrooms for hours on end.
Yes, Laurel is a gem! I'm so lucky to study under her... so talented.
Happy New Year - have fun painting!! M
