Here is another DSFDF challenge by Karin Jurick, from one of her many photos taken on a recent trip through Pennsylvania. She submitted a black and white photo that we could paint with our own value and color interpretation. Having never been to Pennsylvania, I imagine the terrain is much "cooler" than this painting. Guess I've been in Texas for so long that I see everything "hot"! Plus, are there red barns in Pennsylvania? Probably not, I think that's Texas also! The only thing missing is the Lone Star flag painted on the barn roof. Yep, we do that sort of thing down here!
Ann, Wow, what a great job you did on this. I never would have imagined those colors! It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you've done this challenge already! Wow, Ann!
ReplyDeleteTexlvania?
I think the colors are gorgeous. I have to say I was not inspired by the b&w landscape. Your painting is inspirational.
This is so good! And you finished it so quickly.
ReplyDeleteLove all the red.
Never thought of Texas as having it's own colors, but now that you mention it...you are absolutely right! Looks just like a bright sunny Texas day.
Had to take a sneak peek to what other folks were doing with the challenge. Beautiful colors Ann! Visually engaging and calming at the same time. Well done! /Lee
ReplyDeleteLove the color choices! It is so sunny feeling!
ReplyDeleteWhat vivid colors!
ReplyDeleteA tonic painting, very nice!
Ann, I was so excited to see your beautiful painting! This challenge makes me nervous because that kind of rural landscape is very unfamiliar to me. You have inspired me to consider it!!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you have brought into this piece, so full of life.
ReplyDeleteLove your piece too, Ann! All of my favorite colors! By the way, thanks for your comment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. I love your colorful interpretation!
ReplyDeleteVery well done! Love the reds against the Spring greens.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job of creating a lead-in to your painting! A good solution, and beautiful colors as well!
ReplyDeleteAnn,
