Here's another addition to the 30 Paintings in 30 Days. Unfortunately, we had a break in our phone and internet cable last week and we were without service for several days. So that's my excuse for not posting lately! Have been painting, just not posting to the blog. I think we forget how dependent we are on technology these days until something like this happens.

 Day 12 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days. This was painted from a photo taken inside the garden gates of the Alamo in San Antonio. Loved all the shades of blues and greens accented by the cactus blossoms.

Well, here I go again! You might remember this past January that I participated in a painting challenge, 30 Paintings in 30 Days, offered by a California artist, Leslie Saeta. She is sponsoring this again for the month of September. I found this to be a huge "growth experience" and couldn't resist another try! I found that a theme was much easier to follow for the process. Did ranch inspired paintings last time, and as you see here, you guessed it...Indians and the West this time. I'll be heading to NM and AZ this fall, so have this idea in my head. Will definitely be prepared for the Wild West when I get there!
