"Garden Gate"

9 x 12
oil on hardboard

This is a plein air piece painted on a recent OPS outing, the garden gate from the B&B where we were staying in Fredricksburg.

  1. That is such a nice piece. The light and shadows and the colors all combine so well. A year or so ago I did a series of ACT's on doors and gates. They make a very attractive subject.

  2. Oh boy! I just want to see what is through this gate! A secret garden? Magical piece, Ann. Such a beauty!

  3. This is delightful. It's that glancing light that makes it magical.

  4. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere! Very beautiful!
