oil on canvas board
Painted on the last day of the OPS paint out in Fredericksburg. We had the most perfect location with these incredible views at the Tonkawaya Ranch, noted for being the highest point in Gillespie County. Would love to go back and spend a week there taking in the most breathtaking scenery, and that doesn't even take into consideration the fifteen longhorns grazing throughout the hills. What a true Texas experience! The Howard's were extremely generous in opening up their property for the artists. The is a view facing west, can you just imagine what the sunsets must look like!!!
beautiful landscape...
ReplyDeletecongrats...
So very beautiful, Ann! You are turning out so many gorgeous paintings that I am left awed by your stamina and ability. I love the distance and amazing depth of this piece!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Ann! Sounds like a great experience. It is wonderful to see how much more comfortable and confident you are with plein air now. Inspirational!
ReplyDeleteUn paysage magnifique que vous avez superbement bien interprété... j'aime les différentes étapes qui lui donnent cette belle profondeur... avec de très belles nuances de couleurs.
ReplyDeleteGros bisous et bon week-end.
Beautiful colors and you are right, quite breathtaking. Wish I was there!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully painted! Great atmosphere and wonderful color.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful rendering of the scene I get to see every day. (And I never get tired of it.) You are rapidly developing plein air skills!
ReplyDeleteLovely painting, Ann
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I just had opportunity to view this post as I was Googling our ranch - we certainly enjoyed having you as guests, and it is wonderful to see the lovely painting you posted. Next time you are in Fredericksburg, we'd love to host your group again. Sincerely, Joe and Becky Howard
