"Valentine Rose"

8 x 10
oil on gessoed hardboard

Daily Paintworks has a new Valentine's Day challenge this week posted by Qiang Huang, a very gifted artist from the Austin, Texas area and an incredible master of painting roses. Be sure to check out the other dozens, and I do mean dozens, of posted rose paintings. Wishing you a very happy Valentine's Day!

  1. Good job on this Ann! I like the unopened bud you added for interest.
Thanks for the comments on my blog. Boy, plein air is tough. One day I will feel more comfortable.

  4. Oh how beautiful, Ann! Your artwork is always so amazing to me, my friend. I hope life has settled back down to a sense of normalcy after your pre-Christmas break-in. And I sure hope that you have regained a sense of security in your home. I worry about you. If your paintings are anything to go by, I'd say life is back on track and the beauty is just emanating from your hands. Another gorgeous piece of art in this one.
